BACKPACKS AND MESSENGER BAGS
From hip and stylish bags for older children, to these adorable backpacks for younger kids, I found 10 backpacks and messenger bags that were either made in the USA and/or eco friendly. Several were both, and 7 of the bags are made in the USA!

6 COMMON BRANDS DOING GOOD THINGS
These are major companies I found that are making products like corn-based plastic pens, recycled pens, paper with recycled materials or that's FSC certified. It's exciting to see so many manufacturers making the change.

NOTEBOOKS, PAPER AND BINDERS
LOVE some of the products I found here! I was surprised to find so many companies still making their products in the USA or Canada, and that were doing so with eco friendly materials.

MISCELLANEOUS SCHOOL SUPPLIES
This is my favorite of all the guides! There were so many fun things I found that are being made in eco friendly ways. The company that makes this calculator also makes a bamboo keyboard and mouse! Lots of neat stuff on this list. And finding a pencil case that was not made of plastic and was made in the USA proved to be far harder of a task than I thought!

PENS, PENCILS AND HIGHLIGHTERS
From FSC certified pencils, to highlighters made of recycled plastic, here are some more ideas for eco friendly or made in the USA writing tools.

This guide was originally published on this site, so you will find it here. :) There was a little bit of updating after publishing it, when I uncovered that beloved Stockmar crayons were made of hardly any beeswax. You can find out all about that in the piece I wrote on it HERE.
